Ingredients

  • 2 slices Dave’s Killer Bread 21 Whole Grains and Seeds
  • 2 strips uncured turkey bacon
  • 1/2 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 2 handfuls raw spinach
  • ¼ avocado smashed
  • ½ Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1-2 slice gouda cheese

Elevated Grilled Cheese Directions

Prepare the “inside”

  • In a pan, cook turkey bacon. Remove and reserve the bacon.
  • Cook raw spinach and sliced pears for 30 to 40 seconds in the same pan (leaves will wilt and pears will become soft). Take out, place aside.

Build it

  • Spread toast with mashed avocado and dijon.
  • Add cheese, pears, spinach, and fried bacon on top.
  • Grill the bread and cheese on both sides in the same skillet until the bread is toasted and melted.
